Hurting people hurt people.

“Hurting people hurt people.”  Whoever penned that quote  must have been the smartest, most insightful person on earth!  And ain’t that the truth!  I have been hurt and hurting people pretty much my whole life.  It is not a lifestyle choice, trust me, but it is definitely hereditary, passed down to the next generations.  It is a learned behavior, if you will.  Just a good old family tradition!

I am currently 52 years old and though I made the decision to give my life to Christ 22 years ago and have forgiven everyone who hurt me, you still can’t forget.  And some of the hurting is still going on…family tradition.

I know there are millions of suffering people out there, just like me and that is why I have decided to share my story, in hopes of letting people out there, who may not know, you are not alone.  Now abuse comes in many forms; physical, emotional, mental, just to name a few.  I have been affected by all of them, some more than others.

As I start my blog journey, I know I am going to have many, many painful days.  I am going to be brutally honest and this is going to take courage, but I know the Lord will help me through it.

If you are reading this, thank yo so very much and if you can relate to the topics am going to be talking about, just know you are not alone, and though you may FEEL shame and embarrasment, like I have, we really have nothing to feel ashamed or embarrased about and we will get through this together!
